We don’t believe Twitter facilities the same kind of social graph that Linkedin or Facebook does. We are looking for fun ways to integrate Twitter shortly.

Really? You don’t have a Facebook account? You should, but don’t worry we are working on the ability to use our product without having a Facebook or Linkedin account, however there will be limited functionality. You really should really sign up at http://facebook.com or http://linkedin.com

Tripl looks at your existing social network though a geographical perspective. Many algorithms we run are based on that information. In order to show you who is coming to your city we need to know where you are based. We use your friend’s location to provide recommendations and help grow your network.

Don’t worry! I am sure there will be many great people there. We have just launched the site don’t worry we will notify if someone becomes a local or adds a trip that overlaps.

The home screen is where you land following registration. Its also your home screen whenever you come back to the application. Its made up of two tabs

• Dashboard-

  illustrates which tasks you should do to get 100% completion status and become an official “Triplet”. The Dashboard also displays any new notifications you have. The network wall shows actions performed by your friends connected through Facebook and Linkedin. You can keep up to date with what all you friend are doing here.

• Notifications -

  provides a chronological history of all your notifications

This page allows you to a stream of activity from travelers coming to your city. The page is broken up using 3 top tabs:

• Wall -

  allows you to see recent activity, create posts, and leave comments

• People -

  allows you to see a break down of locals and travelers for a destination

• Leaderboard -

  shows which local at the destination has the highest ranking

Here is where you can add, browse and edit all your trips. We showcase three types of trips:

• Planned Trips -

  is where you can add, browse, edit and delete upcoming trips you have planned. You can be directed to the individual trip page by clicking on the arrow.

• Considering Trip -

  this is where you can add, browse, edit and delete destinations you are considering. You can be directed to the individual trip page by clicking on the arrow

• Friends Trips -

  is where you can browse all your friend’s trips. We keep a complete directly based on chronological order. You will never miss where your friends are going.

This shows a quick reference to all the planned and considered trips you have already added. Simply quick to access.

This page is very similar to your local page but now you see whats going on at your upcoming destination based on dates of your trip. The page is broken up using 3 top tabs:

If you want to meet that person simply hit the “meet me” button on their profile. They will get a request. If the person responds yes you will be notified. Feel free to send them a Facebook message or visit their Facebook and Linkedin Profiles as well.

Points are our way to show that you are awesome. You gain a reputation which makes you look awesome to other locals and travelers. In the future you will gain discounts and loyalty program points from leading travel providers.

The information we pull from you social network accounts remain in our secure databases. We NEVER EVER sell or transfer your individual private data to third parties. The information you provide through Facebook Connect is only used to help establish connections for your upcoming trips. Your demographic information may be used for statistical purpose but you will never been named within the documentation personally. We really care about your private information!
